On 25 March the Spring Day campaign has been officially launched. We warmly invite you to discover the latest news, resources and updates the Spring Day team has prepared to bring your school close to Europe!

Spring Day for Europe 2009: Launch event in Strasbourg
Commission Vice-President Margot Wallström and Katerina Batzeli, Chairwoman of the European Parliament's Committee on Culture and Education, met a group of students visiting the European Parliament to launch of this year's 'Spring Day for Europe' campaign. Read more

Romanian school takes Spring Day registrations over 5,000 mark
Over 5,000 schools have now registered for Spring Day for Europe 2009. The Scoala de Arte si Meserii in Teregova, Romania, became the 5,000th school to sign up on 31 March. Read more

President Pöttering: Younger generation should ensure peace on the European continent
On 15 April 2009 European Parliament President Pöttering came online on the Spring Day website for a “virtual meeting” with about 300 students and teachers from ten countries. Read more

"Be healthy – be yourself” campaign encourages young people to become more proactive in protecting their health. Read more

Back to school 2009 is now online!
Thanks to our new registration system, schools can now easily find a guest to arrange visits to their schools. "Back to school" brings Europe close to its citizens. Book a visit now!

Be famous for 15 minutes
As one of the most popular activities, once again “15 minutes of fame” features Spring Day events on the homepage for 15 minutes. This is the place to submit your report and tell the entire Spring Day community and Europe what you have done. More

Via the Spring Day chats, students can debate with very special guests in the field of European Creativity and Innovation. Have a look at the calendar and take part to the next online debate. Read more

New games were designed and uploaded to the website. Come and enjoy them: Decision-making in the European Union, European Inventions and Inventors Quiz, Euro Coins Game. Spring Day games are a learning resource conceived to help students know more about Europe in an attractive way. Teachers can adapt and use Spring Day games in their classrooms. Read more
