Vice President Margot Wallström met European schools in an online chat

On 11 May 2007, Margot Wallström, Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Institutional Relations and Communication Strategy, came to the European Schoolnet office to chat with European students.

18 schools from 12 countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Romania, Spain and Turkey) participated in the chat session on the theme was "Taking the European Union forward: The next 50 years". The participants asked questions that focused on major themes including the constitution, cultural values, education, official and regional languages, cultural identities and European citizenship. Other questions covered current communication projects such as Plan D.
