The Spring Day for Europe Portal is dedicated to the privacy of its users. Our intention is to provide a secure and safe environment for schools and teachers. The following statement outlines the policies by which the Spring Day Portal collects, manages, and uses the data provided to us by users. 1- Aim Data are collected about schools and school personnel in order to set up collaborative projects between schools in Europe.
2- Information collection The information collected and stored by the Spring Day for Europe Portal are stored on servers in Austria. Using the Spring Day for Europe Portal means consenting to the transfer of information within the European Union.
To serve its users as best as possible, the Spring Day Portal makes the following information mandatory:
• Teacher data: name, surname, mother tongue, email.
• School data: school name, type, age-range, number of pupils, address, town, postal code, country, region.
The following information is optional:
• Teacher data: subject(s) taught.
• School data: website, telephone and fax number, email, coupon code.
3- Information access
During the registration process, users will be asked to specify a unique username and corresponding password. Through this username/password combination, users may access their account and use the restricted area of the site.
Registered schools will be allowed to access, modify and delete the information provided at any time by logging in.
4- Use of collected information Aggregate statistics are collected regularly, including, but not limited to, the number of users during a specific period, the preferred subjects and/or countries chosen by teachers, and account usage.
In an effort to maximize user experience, the Spring Day for Europe Portal may keep track of user frequency, habits, preferences and settings. Access to this information is strictly limited to the European Commission, education ministries and authorities in charge of implementing Spring Day for Europe. The Spring Day for Europe team will not divulge your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
The Spring Day team will have access to provided account information and can modify and/or delete information as needed to maintain the integrity of the user database. Information such as user IP address, internet service provider (ISP), web browser, operating system, approximate times of use, referring site, and any similar data exchanged between a user's computer and the servers of the Spring Day for Europe Portal is collected on an aggregate basis, and, unless initiated by a specific user account, no method exists to tie this information to a particular user account. This information is accessible only to the system administrators within the Spring Day Team and is used to ensure the broadest sense of compatibility and connectivity between users and the Spring Day for Europe Portal.
